# Categories

## **Managing categories**

<br />Organize your products into dedicated collections to keep your store structured and effortless to navigate. Each category automatically generates a clean URL slug (e.g., `/framer-templates`) you can link directly from your site navigation or external marketing campaigns.

## <br />**Creating a category**

Click **Create Category**, enter a descriptive name (such as *E-books*, *Templates*, or *Courses*), and confirm. Once saved, the new category will immediately be available in your product settings dropdown for assignment.

## <br />**Reordering categories**

Customize the exact display sequence of categories across your storefront. Click and hold the drag handle (`☰`) on the left of any category card, then drag and drop it into your preferred order. Changes are reflected live on your storefront immediately.
